(FR) Studio de designer graphique & illustration basé en Suisse Romande.

Besides my practice, I am a design educator with over 15 years of teaching experience, holding a pedagogy diploma in professional education (HEFP, Lausanne, 2012). I am also a design researcher with a Master’s degree in Design Research from Hochschule der Künste Bern (HKB, 2023).

My research, "Allegories Gone Wild: Zoomorphism in Propaganda from 1870 to 1945," explores animal rhetoric in political propaganda during the rise of printed media.

By analyzing hundreds of caricatures from wartime history, I examine how these images were used to dehumanize others.

Key research questions include:

  • What recurring patterns emerge when comparing caricatures from different countries?

  • How were animals used in propaganda to defame political opponents?

  • What rhetorical devices made zoomorphism such an effective tool for dehumanization?

  • How did the discourse evolve in contemporary media?
